KARACHI: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) blasted their way into the main round when they came from one goal down to defeat Pakistan Steel 2-1 in their Group I game of the PFF Cup 2016 qualifiers here at KMC Stadium on Saturday.
Pakistan Steel, who were shown the exit door, put themselves ahead in the 15th minute through a fine strike from Nasir Ahmed.
However, ten minutes later, SSGC levelled when Saeed Ahmed landed one through a solo effort.
At half time, the game was evenly poised at 1-1.
In the second half, a tough battle was witnessed with both sides inflicting forceful rallies from the wings.
However, it were SSGC who hit the winner through Abdul Salam in the 71st minute to seal a well-deserved win.
