KARACHI: Lahore’s civil court has restrained Ashfaq Hussain-led Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) from using the PFF funds.
The PFF Normalisation Committee said on Friday that the court had passed this judgement in response to the application filed by its member Shahid Niaz Khokhar.
“While establishing a Normalisation Committee FIFA has given a five points mandate to the committee including holding of free, fair and transparent elections of the PFF but before the committee could fully comply with the responsibilities mandated to it Ashfaq Group took the control of the football headquarters Lahore while ousting the Normalization Committee,” the NC said.
“Because of this action of Ashfaq group FIFA suspended the membership of Pakistan announcing that the suspension will only be lifted when the possession of the PFF secretariat along with PFF accounts and assets are handed over back to Haroon Malik, the Chairman Normalization Committee.”
