PESHAWAR: The Frontier Foundation Hematology Services arranged camps in various areas of Swat district to collect blood donations for the children suffering from thalassemia, haemophilia and other blood-related disorders.The camps were held in Khwazakhela, Manyar, Kalkot, Kanju and other areas where several bags of blood were collected, said a press release here on Monday.
The Frontier Foundation team comprising Ijaz Alam, Dr Amjad Iqbal, medical technician Zakirullah and assistant Suleman Pervez supervised the camps.Social figures of different areas, including Jahan Alam, Muhammad Amir, Muhammad Adeel, Farman Ali, Haji Khalid, Javed Khan and others collaborated with the Frontier Foundation team in holding successful blood donation camps.
A noticeable number of people donated blood for the children suffering from thalassemia, haemophilia and other blood disorders.The Frontier Foundation Chairman, Sahibzada Muhammad Haleem thanked the people for the donations.He said that holding such camps had become very difficult in the prevailing situation due to the coronavirus pandemic.
