CM aide hailed for approving water supply scheme

CHITRAL: The residents of Kessu village have thanked the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led government for approving Rs12.40 million for potable water supply scheme for the villagers in the Annual Development Programme.

Speaking at a press conference, PTI local activist Sartaj Ahmad Khan said that Special Assistant to Chief Minister Wazirzada had won the hearts of the residents by fulfilling the longstanding demand of drinking water supply scheme for the village.

Elders, including Shamsher Dastagir, Nisar Dastagir, Qazi Abdul Wasi, Rahmat Wali Shah and others were also present.

The elders said that the villagers comprising over 800 individuals were compelled to drink muddy and unsafe water which, they complained, was also not available in sufficient amounts to meet the needs of the residents. They said that they would face no shortage of potable water upon completion of the project.
