Indonesian envoy for cementing ties among ASEAN states

LAHORE: Indonesia’s Ambassador Mr Adam Mulawarman Tugio visited Punjab University and called on Pro-Vice-Chancellor Dr Saleem Mazhar here Tuesday. Deans of various faculties and Director Regional Integration Centre Dr Fauzia Hadi were also present.
Talking to the delegation, Prof Saleem Mazhar stressed the need to enhance collaboration among the universities of both the countries.
Mr Tugio stressed on the need to strengthen relations among ASEAN countries to improve the economic situation of the member states.
He said through trade agreements, the exports and imports of the ASEAN countries could be enhanced manifold, which could ultimately result in improving the people’s lot. He stressed the need to establish ASEAN Study Centre.
