How can Shehbaz improve: KP when he destroyed Punjab: KP CM

DAGGAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Friday inaugurated a number of development projects and launched work on several other schemes to be completed at a cost of Rs4.567 billion as he paid his first daylong visit to Buner district.

The chief minister was accompanied by cabinet members Anwar Zeb Khan, Kamran Bangash, Riaz Khan, Member National Assembly Sher Akbar Khan, Members Provincial Assembly Fakhar Jahan Khan and Fazal Hakim. He inaugurated the newly-constructed building of Government Higher Secondary School Gadizai, which was completed at an estimated cost of Rs74 million.

Addressing a public gathering, Mahmood Khan Addressing a public meeting, he said workers of other political parties were joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in droves as they had full confidence in the government and its policies.

Mahmood Khan said that some people associated with the opposition's Pakistan Democratic Movement gathered in his hometown last week but the public turned a deaf ear to their call.

He was critical of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President Mian Shehbaz Sharif and flayed him for claiming that his party would now set things in order in KP.

"How can you claim to improve things in this province as you have destroyed Punjab during your chief ministership," he said while also flaying another PMLN leader and legislator Marriyum Aurangzeb for enjoying zipline activity in Swat during the PDM public meeting.

He said the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan had put the country on the path to fast development, stabilized its economy and raised the GDP growth rate.

The chief minister announced Rs1.00 billion for the supply of gas, Rs300 million for electricity works and Rs300 million for the construction of various roads in Buner.

He also vowed to start a project to connect Buner district with Swat Motorway, construction of Karakar Tunnel and establishment of a low cost housing scheme for low income people at an area of 400 Kanals in district Buner.

The uplift projects which the chief minister announced included construction of 12 Km long Malikpur Bypass Road, construction of a new building for Government Degree College Gadizai, upgrading of Rural Health Centre Jowar, construction of a multi-purpose gymnasium, construction of Swarai to Daggar Bypass Road and Academic Block of Buner University and upgrading of district headquarter hospital Daggar.

The chief minister said the Sehat Card Plus scheme was a flagship and matchless scheme of the PTI government which ensured free treatment facilities for the entire population of the province.

He added that the KP government was giving serious thinking to include the overseas Pakistanis from KP in the scheme.

Mahmood Khan said his government was working to introduce education cards on the pattern of Sehat Insaf Card to ensure quality education to the children of poor people.

The government, he added, was planning to introduce Ration Card to provide free ration to the deserving families on monthly basis", adding Kisan Card was also being launched to provide seeds, pesticides and fertilizers to the farmers at cut rates.

Mahmood Khan said various developmental projects worth Rs7 billion had been reflected in the new Annual Development Plan for Buner district.

A former nazim of Union Council from Jamaat-e-Islami, Sardar Ali Khan, and other political workers along with supporters announced joining the ruling party during the chief minister's visit.
