Over 800kg hashish seized

PESHAWAR: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) foiled a bid to smuggle over 800kg hashish in a tanker on Thursday.An official said that acting upon prior information, the Special Investigation Cell, Peshawar, in collaboration with the ANF Peshawar stopped a tanker bearing registration number K-2394/Peshawar near Lachi Toll Plaza, in Kohat district. The official said two alleged smugglers Muslim and Nizam were arrested.

During a thorough search, a total of 677 packets of hashish (1200 gm each) weighing 812 kg of hash were recovered from the secret cavities of the tanker. An investigation was launched.
