TIMERGARA: A woman teacher hailing from Lower Dir on Tuesday asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Shahram Khan Tarakai to look into her application for transfer.

Talking to local journalists, Zainab Begum complained that she had applied for e-transfer under the e-transfer policy of the Elementary and Secondary Education Department.

The teacher said that she was shocked to see that she was dropped in sheer violation of the rules. “Since my first appointment in 2014, I have been serving as Drawing Master in Government Girls High School Shalkandai, which is more than 21 kilometers away from my home in Balambat,” she added.

She continued, “I waited for seven long years for my first-ever transfer, but I was shocked to see that another teacher was transferred to the Government Girls Model School Khema for which I had applied,” Zainab Begum said.

She said that according to the regularisation order available in the office of District Education Officer (Female) Dir Lower, she was senior to the teacher, who was transferred to the school to which she had applied.

“According to the approved policy by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, it is my right to be transferred against the vacant position of Drawing Master at GGMS Khema,” she said.

She asked the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for education and other high-ups to provide her justice by considering her application so that she could be transferred to the school she had applied for.
