Over 1000,000 tweets ask PM to cancel physical exam
ISLAMABAD: ‘Imran Khan Students Ke Sun Lo’ is the top trend in twitter in which students uploaded over 10,00000 tweets in a day to cancelation of physical examinations.
It is a recorded tweet in a day which has made top trend on twitter here on Saturday. On the other hand, Federal and Punjab boards have issued date sheet and roll number slips for physical examinations from July 11, 2021. The concerned boards have informed all regular students to receive roll number slips from their colleges while private students will get roll number slips by post.
Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (RBISE) Official Spokesman Arsalan Cheema told ‘The News’ that they had issued date sheet and roll number slips to all students for physical examinations. Annual examinations will start from July 11, 2021, he said. He said that regular students will get their roll number slips from colleges while private students by post.
Angry students of all government and private colleges have continued their protest demonstrations against physical examinations and blocking main roads here in twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. They are protesting on daily basis.
‘Imran Khan Students Ke Sun Lo’ is the top trend in twitter in which students have appealed Prime Minister Imran Khan to cancel their physical examinations because they did not cover up syllabus due to COVID-19. The students have also demanded resignation of Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood.
The students of all educational institutions are gathering on different points on regular basis and protesting against the government's decision of holding physical exams. "Throughout the year, we took classes online," the students said, "so exams should be conducted online too. They also said that instead of taking online classes, the teachers posted two-hour-long videos on social media.
"We had to figure everything out from that clip, all by ourselves. The whole world is promoting students in next classes but here in the country, our government taking physical exams,” the students denounced.
The students on twitter said that government wanted to waste their valuable year. Majority of students neither attended classes nor completed syllabus but government was forcefully taking examinations in this situation. Government should consider its decision for the best interest of students, students tweeted. All other political parties including PMLN, PPP, JUI-F etc strongly favoured the demands of students on tweet.
