Five awarded death sentence
Rawalpindi : The Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rawalpindi Farkhanda Arshad on Wednesday awarded death sentence to three men and lifetime imprisonment to fourth-one accused in a murder case. The court has also imposed fine of Rs800,000 on the accused and directed to pay the fine immediately.
The court awarded death sentence to three accused named Wajid Hussain, Mulazam Hussain and Muhammad Jameel and awarded lifetime imprisonment to accused Majid Hussain on charges of killing four people Ghulam Jilani, Ghulam Rasool, Altaf Hussain and Abdul Jabbar and injuring four others.
Kahuta Police Station registered the case under Section of 302 against four killers on murder charges in August 2014. The accused party opened fire on land dispute in which four people were killed at the spot while four were injured on the occasion. The killers fled from the scene on the occasion but police arrested them after some days.
Meanwhile, the Additional District and Sessions Judge, Rawalpindi Muhammad Afzal Majoka awarded death sentence to a man and lifetime imprisonment to second accused in a murder case and imposed fine of Rs100,0000 on the two accused.
The court awarded death sentence to an accused named Muhammad Walid and awarded lifetime imprisonment to Naeem Riazl on charges of killing Ansar Mehmood and injuring others during a decoity.
In another case, the same court awarded death sentence against a killer Muhammad Noman who killed an 18-year old girl in 2020, and imposed fine of Rs500,000.
The Anti-Terrorist Court, Rawalpindi Judge Shaukat Kamal Dar on Wednesday awarded lifetime imprisonment against two kidnappers they kidnapped a 12-year boy and demanded Rs10 million. The court also imposed fine of Rs100,000 and directed to confiscate all moveable and immoveable property of the kidnappers.
Naseeabad Police Station registered the case against two kidnappers Allama Iqbal and Muhammad Noman for kidnaping 12-year old Muhammad Usman and demanding Rs10 million. The mother of Usman filed this case with Naseerabad Police Station in December 2020.
