LAHORE: Low river flows have resulted in dismal water reservoirs level, showing almost half the storage of what was achieved last year on the corresponding day.
Last year, 6.40-million-acre-feet water storage was available on June 25, 2020 against 3.01 MAF storage recorded on June 25, 2021.
According to the daily water report, issued by the Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) on Saturday, against the minimum operating level of 1392 feet, the present level of Tarbela stood at just 1438.81 feet, which is about 111 feet below the maximum conservation level of 1550 feet.
