Swat Cadet College: Revised master plan for remaining civil work approved
PESHAWAR: The board of governors (BoG) of Swat Cadet College approved a revised master plan for the remaining civil work of the institution, which would be executed in six different phases.
The college’s board of governors’ sixth meeting was held with the chief minister Mahmood Khan in the chair, said a handout.
In the first phase, hostel block, masjid, multipurpose hall and trauma centre would be constructed while sewerage system, laundry, apartments for the employees from grade-1 to grade-6 would be built in the second phase.
In the third phase, apartments for employees from grade-7 to grade-16, sports complex; in fourth phase, apartments for employees from grade-17 and above, staff barracks.
Earlier, the meeting was briefed about the progress on implementation of decisions taken in the last meeting, curriculum and co-curricular activities, and overall performance of the college.
The board endorsed the actual budget for the year 2020-21 and approved the estimated budget for the year 2021-22.
The meeting also approved the mechanism for increasing salaries of employees in the light of recommendations of the Finance Committee.
Rejecting the proposal of increase in fees by 10% annually, the chief minister said that in the present circumstances, no extra-burden can be put on students and their parents. He further said that the provincial government would consider giving a grant to the institutions in order to fulfill their additional requirements.
