Importance of Pak-Afghan ties underlined

PESHAWAR: A meeting with Afghan business delegates was held under the chairmanship of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Industries & Commerce, Abdul Karim.

An official handout said the chair welcomed all the participants and highlighted the importance of Pak-Afghan brotherly relations and trade for socio-economic uplift of the region.

He also emphasized on the need for a wider cooperation and collaboration amongst the stakeholders to improve regional connectivity, integration, and easing out the trade bottlenecks.

The KP BOIT representative narrated that the purpose of the meeting is to improve interaction among the stakeholders on both sides of the border and reach mutual solutions to the issues in enhancing trade.

He said that KP-BOIT would do the hand holding of the investors and business community and provide all the possible support and facilitation needed for investment and trade.

The official highlighted the initiatives taken under Ease of Doing Business for investment & trade facilitation. He also mentioned that the meeting had been convened on the request of Fawad Arash, Commercial Attaché of Afghanistan in Peshawar.

The commercial attaché of Afghanistan thanked the chair for providing the opportunity to the Afghan businessmen and traders to interact with their counterparts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and highlight the challenges and issues.
