Teachers body threatens protest: Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) Punjab has warned of protest in case any action is taken to curb autonomy of universities.
In a press release, FAPUASA Punjab general secretary Dr Ahtisham Ali expressed concern over HEC meeting saying the meeting was convened without the involvement of all stakeholders. Dr Ahtisham further said the faculty of the universities had been severely affected by the imposition of the condition of post-PhD experience and FAPUASA has been protesting against it from day one. But surprisingly this issue was not made part of the agenda of this important meeting, he added.
