ISLAMABAD: Former Test all-rounder Shahid Afridi has parted ways with Muzaffarabad Tigers and had joined Rawalakot Hawks for the Kashmir Premier League (KPL).
The News has learned that Afridi was not getting along well and was not feeling comfortable with Muzaffarabad and has decided to join Rawalakot instead.
When Muzaffarabad Tigers Chief Executive Sajjad Jadoon was approached, he said since Afridi’s family had bought Rawalakot rights, he preferred shifting there.
“Yes, Afridi is no more with us. Now we have picked Mohammad Hafeez as an icon player for our franchise. Hafeez will also captain our team. He has been released on his request,” Jadoon said.
