Rs126b allocated for literary, heritage division

Islamabad: The government has allocated Rs125.93 million development funds for the National History and Literary Heritage Division.

According to the 2021-22 budget's documents, Rs55.90 million are for three ongoing projects and Rs70.02 million for the new ones.

Under the head of the ongoing schemes, Rs20.874 million is for the mapping of historical and religious sites in Pakistan, Rs25.030 million for the preservation, restoration and presentation of Rawat Fort Islamabad, and Rs10 million for the upgradation of film projection, light and sound system installation at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts' Auditorium.

As for new schemes, Rs19.087 has been earmarked for building and upgradation of national library of Pakistan and Rs40.935 million for establishment of National language processing laboratory.
