Ten checkposts established to facilitate tourists’ safety
MANSEHRA: The police department has deployed cops and established 10 checkposts for the safety of tourists coming to the scenic Kaghan valley.
“We have established 10 police posts in the Kaghan valley and deployed the force there for the safety and facilitation of tourists,” Asif Bahadur, the district police officer, told reporters here. He said that as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government lifted the ban on the tourism activities, these posts were established in lower and upper parts of the valley.
“We have deployed over 142 personnel, including 20 traffic wardens, for better policing during the tourism season,” said Bahadur. He added that the personnel of the tourism force would also be deployed in the Kaghan valley. “The traffic wardens have been directed to welcome tourists in the district and vehicles used by them without local permits should not be fined,” said Bahadur. The official said that
the police posts were established in Mahandri, Kaghan, Pludrian, Naran, Saiful Mulul lake, Battakundi, Barawai, Bassil, Gittidas and Suki Kinari.
