Man and grandson among four injured by muggers

Four people were wounded in separate mugging bids on Thursday. An elderly man and his minor grandson were wounded in a firing incident in Korangi.

They were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) where they were identified as 65-year-old Waheed Fateh and five-year-old Rohan, son of Asif. The Zaman town police said that the incident took when the man offered resistance during a mugging bid.

Separately, a man was injured for putting up resistance during a mugging bid in Safora Goth, the Sachal police said. The man was transported to the JPMC for medical treatment where he was identified as 33-year-old Noor Rehman, son of Saeed Rehman.

In a similar incident, 35-year-old Majid, son of Rahim, was wounded for resisting a mugging attempt within the Docks police remits. He was taken to the Civil Hospital Karachi for medical treatment.
