CIA arrests two accused in Myra murder case: DIG
LAHORE: The CIA Model Town police have arrested two accused in the Myra murder case. DIG Investigation told a press conference here on Tuesday that the accused were identified as Zahir Jadoon and Waseem Abbas.
As per DIG, Zahir Jadoon and Myra had been friends since 2016, and the former wanted to marry the victim. Two days before the incident, Zahir Jadoon and Myra had gone to Islamabad.
The DIG said the CIA Model Town police also arrested a woman, her nephew Muzammil Hussain, and an accomplice for killing her husband Altaf Hussain. Muzammil Hussain had illicit relations with his aunt, he added.
According to the DIG, Green Town Investigating police arrested one Arsalan along with his accomplice for killing her lover for infidelity. The CIA Civil Lines police arrested one Suleiman Khan, who killed a man during robbery bid.
The CIA police recovered about Rs17 million worth of stolen goods in operations against criminal elements during the last six weeks [one-and-a-half months] and recovered drugs and weapons from 63 members of 16 criminal gangs.
