Landhi man arrested for ‘torturing Mexican wife’

Police came to the rescue of a foreign woman and her minor son, and arrested her abusing husband in Karachi on Tuesday. According to Landhi police, a police team raided a house in Landhi No. 1 and rescued a Mexican woman and her minor son.
The police said the action was taken on a complaint of the Mexican consulate. They said the woman, Arma, had married a Pakistani national, Usman, in 2017. The woman, who cannot speak English and Urdu languages, had alleged that her husband and in-laws used to torture her, and she wanted to go back to her country. Police have recorded her statement with the help of a translator.
