KARACHI: Masha United head coach Nasir Ismail has shown concerns over ignoring the three promoted teams of the 2019 B Division Football League Qualifiers for the 2021 Premier Football League which Ashfaq-led Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) is going to organise from July.
“It’s a biased approach that Masha United, Karachi United and Gwadar Port, who were the top three teams of the 2019 B division league qualifiers held under the the Normalisation Committee have been ignored for the Premier League,” Nasir told 'The News' on Sunday.
“How will they run PFF if technical rules are violated?” Nasir asked.
He said these outfits had been promoted to the top-tier League on the basis of their performances. “It’s surprising that KPT and Nushki’s Baloch FC, which had been relegated, have been included in the Premier League,” said Nasir, also a former National Bank coach.
“Those teams who they feel will help them politically have been inducted in the Premier League,” said Nasir, also a former Pakistan assistant coach.
He said that the biased approach of the PFF is against football development. He said that Spanish Director Technical Daniel’s resignation is a positive development for Pakistan football. “It’s a good news that Daniel Limones has resigned. He had made numerous technical blunders and his exit has saved Pakistan football from further problems,” said Nasir, also an AFC Licence A coach.
Nasir said that a highly reliable person should be brought in to replace Daniel.
He said that Naya Nazimabad Ramadan Football tournament will resume from Tuesday (tomorrow). One league match, two semi-finals and final will be held. The event was in Ramadan due to Covid-19 restrictions.
