Work on QAU’s two new buildings begin
Islamabad : The ground breaking ceremony for the construction of new buildings of the Department of Pharmacy and Hostel No. 13 for Girls at Quaid-i-Azam University was held here on Wednesday.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice-Chancellor, Quaid-i-Azam University laid the foundation stones for the buildings.
The scheduled time for the construction of the academic block is 18 months with an estimated cost of Rs183 million. While the girl’s hostel, a facility to accommodate 300 students will be completed in 13 months with an estimated cost of Rs173 million.
The foundation stone for the construction of the road from Admin Block turn to Shahdara Road under the PSDP project was also laid. Dr. Raja Qaiser Ahmed, Registrar of the University, Dr. Muhammad Ishtiaq Ali, Director Academics, Dr. Mariam Anees, Director, Students Affairs, senior faculty, and syndicate members, director works, officers, and staff members attended the ceremony.
