Minister lauds LDA for resolving public issues
LAHORE:Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed has said that Lahore Development Authority (LDA) worked eloquently with revolutionary speed to solve the problems of the public in the last two years.
Under the special instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, important and useful reforms have been introduced to facilitate the general masses.
Addressing a press conference regarding the performance of Lahore Development Authority, Mian Mehmoodur Rasheed said that the credit for efficient and swift implementation on the public-friendly reforms go to Lahore Development Authority team.
He said that the Lahore Development Authority had introduced reforms based on e-governance to facilitate the masses, builders and developers. He said approval of maps of residential or commercial projects, completion of construction certificates, NOC for change in land use or permits for private housing societies and other facilities were being provided within the stipulated time. He said that in order to facilitate the housing sector, builders and developers, the procedure for providing NOCs in the Lahore Development Authority had been simplified. Following the success of the modern one-window system for getting NOC, online platform has been launched while the one-window system has been fully digitised.
Thirty days for approval and completion of the construction certificate, 45 days for NOC or change of land use, and 60 days have been fixed for permission for residential societies.
The minister said that in accordance with the vision of the prime minister and chief minister, all the sections are being digitised in Lahore Development Authority.
