Country on way to economic stabilisation: CM

LAHORE:Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said Pakistan is on way to economic

empowerment under the leadership of PM Imran Khan.

Talking to a delegation of PML-Q leaders here on Wednesday, the CM said there was no room for political polarisation in the country and the anarchists are following the agenda of the enemy. He said frustrated opposition cannot deceive people.

The PML-Q delegation comprising MNA Ch Moonis Elahi, MNA Salik Hussain, Punjab Ministers Ammar Yasir and Muhammad Rizwan discussed matters of mutual interest with the CM. Usman Buzdar said the PML-Q is an ally of the PTI-led government and relations with the allies are stronger than before. PTI enjoys best working relationship with the allied party and the allies are fully involved in the decision-making process, the CM added. The government has devised a separate development package for every district and I will soon visit Gujrat, Chakwal, Sialkot and Mandi Bahauddin to announce the development packages of these districts, the CM said. Ch Moonis Elahi vowed to continue working jointly for providing better facilities to people. We will jointly serve the masses as it is our core agenda. We are one and will continue to remain united; he added and appreciated the announcement of the district development package by the CM.

Meanwhile, MPAs Umer Aftab and Khuram Ejaz Chatha met with the CM. The CM assured to solve constituency related problems on priority, adding his doors are open to solve problems of general public. The PTI government has entirely transformed the governance model to better serve people, he continued.

There was a one-man show in the past but decisions are made with consultations now and I take everybody along, Usman Buzdar said. The government has rectified the past government’s discrepancies, he said. The commitment and direction of the government are correct and no one will be allowed to obstruct the journey of public service, he stated. The CM gave away grant-in-aid cheques worth Rs 8.50 crore to the representatives of 51 bar associations. Law Minister Raja Basharat, Advocate General and Law Secretary were also present.

The CM presented cheques to representatives of district bar associations of Sargodha, Bhakkar, Khushab, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Jhang, Chiniot, Gujranwala, Narowal, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan.

He also presented cheques to tehsil bar associations of Bhalwal, Kot Momin, Sahiwal, Shahpur, Silanwali, Darya Khan, Kaloor Kot, Mankera, Noorpur Thal, Quaidabad, Esa Khel, Piplaan, Jaranwala, Samundri, Tandlianwala, Shorkot, Bhawana, Lalian, Nowshera Virkan, Wazirabad, Pindi Bhattian, Malakwal, Phalia, Kharian, Sara-i-Alamgir, Shakarghar, Zafarwal, Chunian, Pattoki, Ferozewala, Sangla Hill, Shahkot, Chichawatni, Depalpur, Renala Khurd

and Arifwala.

APP adds: Chief Whip in the National Assembly Muhammad Amir Dogar met with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar at his office and thanked him for the South Punjab Secretariat and Punjab Development Package. He said that the chief minister had given a new identity to South Punjab and laying the foundation stone of the South Punjab Secretariat was a historic step. The PTI had honoured the public mandate from South Punjab and the party would sweep the next elections from SouthPunjab, he added. The chief minister announced evolving a separate development programme for South Punjab in the forthcoming budget which would also be ring-fenced. The foundation stone of the secretariat building in Bahawalpur would be laid soon.

He said the officers posted in South Punjab Secretariat had been given financial as well as administrative autonomy. The doors of development were open to the people of South Punjab, he said.

The government would return the right of development to the people of backward areas, the CM reiterated and added that Punjab would continue to move forward despite the criticism from the conspirators.
