Special ceremonies held to remember APS martyrs
LAHORE
Special ceremonies in remembrance of December 16, 2014 APS Peshawar Shauhada were held in all the schools under the aegis of the Pakistan Rangers (Punjab).
A “Debating Competition – 2015” between the students of Rangers Public Schools was held at the Headquarters Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Lahore. The event was arranged to commemorate the sacrifices of Shauhada. Students from all across Punjab campuses participated.
Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab) Major General Umar Farooq Burki was the Chief Guest. Parents and teachers of the students were also invited. Chief Guest distributed the prizes among the students who obtained positions in the competition.
Addressing the ceremony, he said only education is the light which can vanquish darkness of ignorance and terrorism. The supreme sacrifices of innocent Shauhadas have strengthened our resolve to continue the mission of education undeterred. At Rangers Public Schools, we make an endeavour not only to educate but also to enlighten students to be useful citizens of the future. He added students of the Rangers Public Schools are the pride of country, nation, teachers and parents.
