Protest against killing of minor girl

Rawalpindi: The residents of Jhanda Chichi, staged a protest against the shocking incident of kidnapping and killing of a 9-year-old girl after alleged molestation on Monday night, demanding to hand over the suspect involved in the monstrous offence.

The sources placed in the post mortem section of the District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) disclosed that the evident indications have confirmed the act of molestation, however, samples of the detained suspect have been sent to forensic lab for examination.

While the police sources insinuated that the suspect has confessed his crime. The police, however, confirmed that a team of investigators was examining the case, covering all aspects of the killing.

The dead body of the minor was found lying under the bed of the accused late arrested by the Civil Line Police.

The police sources said that the accused strangled the girl to death when she started shouting and crying during the sexual assault.

The police are investigating the case covering all aspects of the killing and waiting for the chemical examination report.
