‘Takiya-e-Tarar’ set up in Model Town Park

LAHORE:Mustansar Hussain Tarar, a name which needs no introduction in the sub-continent for his travelogues and unforgettable contribution to the Urdu literature, has been honoured with a special gift in the form of a grand tree being named as “Takiya-e-Tarar” (Tarar’s Corner) by his followers in the Central Park, Model Town, admirers and friends on his 82nd birthday.

This monumental tree, a huge and ancient in fact, has been a favourite hangout of Tarar, who has been visiting the Central Park Model Town for the last three decades. His fans & followers would gather around Tarar sahib to enjoy his conversations in his typical style which leaves his listeners spellbound. ”Takiya-e-Tarar“ is the brain child of Tariq Aziz, a short story writer.
