PTI MNA terms CPEC as ‘China-Punjab Economic Corridor’

Islamabad: Member National Assembly from Lakki Marwat Col (R) Dr Amirullah Marwat has termed China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as China-Punjab Economic Corridor.
Speaking on point of order in National Assembly the other day, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MNA said that the present government is not fulfilling its promises on the rout of China Pakistan Economic Corridor as decided in meeting with leaders of different parties and Pakhtun nationalists in all parties meetings and on other plate forms.
He said, “On one hand the government is terming the China Pakistan Economic Corridor as back bone of Pakistan economy in near future while on the other hand they are busy in changing the rout of this road.” “No work has been started on western side of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor as promised by the prime minister while on eastern side different projects have started taking place in this plan.
Why always Pakhtunkhwa is being ignored while Punjab is awarded undue benefits in such projects,” he questioned.The PTI MNA said the government must fulfill its promises and start work on western rout of the project and must not change its rout; otherwise it will result in bloodshed.
