NOWSHERA: People from all walks of life came in droves to offer condolences over the sad demise of noted religious scholar Maulana Dr Sher Ali Shah, who passed away on Friday.
Those who visited Akora Khattak to pay homage to Maulana Dr Sher Ali included Wafaqul Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan head Maulana Saleemullah Khan, Qaumi Watan Party head Aftab Sherpao, provincial head Sikandar Sherpao, provincial Minister Jamshiduddin Kakakhel, Member National Assembly Dr Imran Khattak, former MNA Maulana Abdul Malik and others.
Chief Minister Pervez Khattak went to Akora Khattak to offer his condolences to Syed Amjad Ali Shah and Syed Arshad Ali Shah, the sons of Maulana Dr Sher Ali.
Pervez Khattak paid glowing tributes to the religious services of Maulana Dr Sher Ali Shah and said he played his role for the restoration of peace in the country. He said the religious services of the Maulana would always be remembered.
