Man kills wife in Gulshan-e-Sikandarabad

A woman was allegedly stabbed to death by her husband at their house within the limits of Jackson police station on Thursday.

According to police, the incident took place at a house located in Gulshan-e-Sikandarabad. After being stabbed, the woman was taken to Civil Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

The victim was identified as 35-year-old Sajida, wife of Akram. According to SHO Adil Malik, she used to work at bungalows in posh localities of the city as a domestic help while her husband worked for a private security company as a security guard.

Quoting initial investigations, the officer said the woman had not been going to work for last many days due to the lockdown, adding that on Thursday she had a quarrel with her spouse during which he stabbed her to death. The suspect managed to flee after committing the crime.

The couple had married about 12 years ago and had no children. The suspect hailed from Multan and lived in Karachi in Gulshan-e-Sikandarabad at a rented house. A case has been registered and investigations are under way.

Electrocution death

A woman died of electrocution at her house in Lasi Goth on Thursday.

She was taken to Abbasi Sahheed Hospital where she breathed her last during treatment. She was identified as 25-year-old Azeema, wife of Noor Ahmed. The Sohrab Goth police said that the woman had been washing clothes when she suffered an electric shock from the washing machine.
