Market Committee VP resigns
FAISALABAD: Newly-elected Vice Chairman of the Market Committee Pir Mahal Umair Shafqat Rasool resigned to lodge his protest against rampant corruption in institution. Ummair reiterated his staunch support to PM Imran Khan’s hectic struggle to eliminate corruption and corrupt practices from the country. He said as a worker of the PTI he would do his optimum best to root out rampant corruption from the Local Bodies and other departments of Pir Mahal.
CRACKDOWN ON BEGGARS: Faisalabad police Friday launched a crackdown on beggars According to CPO spokesman Amer Waheed, the police detained 1,862 male, 293 female and 5 child beggars from different chowks and bazaars. The police registered cases against 657 beggars. The spokesman said the beggars used to swarm Old city, Millat Chowk, Peoples Colony, Jamia Chishtia Chowk, Imambargah Road, Madina Town, Kohinoor Chowk and D Ground People's Colony. He said the action against beggars would continue in the city as they can spread coronavirus.
