CM Usman Buzdar reviews facilities at field hospitals
LAHORE:Chief Minister Usman Buzdar on Tuesday paid a visit to Mandi Bahauddin centre established for distribution of financial assistance under Ehsaas Kifalat Programme and reviewed fiscal aid disbursement process.
Usman Buzdar also visited field hospitals and reviewed treatment facilities being provided to the patients, said a handout issued here. He also distributed Rs 12,000 financial aid by his hand to a deserving woman at distribution center at Government Higher Secondary School Bakhi, Mandi Bahauddin. He also talked to a deserving woman and inquired about the procedure for distribution of financial assistance. He commended the performance of Deputy Commissioner Mandi Bahauddin Mehtab Waseem with regard to making nice arrangements at fiscal aid centre in the district.
Deserving persons while talking to Usman Buzdar, expressed their complete satisfaction over the financial aid disbursement mechanism and also appreciated the arrangements being made by the government. They also acknowledged Rs 12,000 fiscal assistance a mega relief during current circumstances. Later, Usman Buzdar took prompt action on the applications of two women and directed the administration to forthwith redress their grievances and immediately submit its report.
Insaf Imdad app: The Insaf Imdad mobile app developed by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for collecting applications of the deserving people during the lockdown has been downloaded more than 2.8 million times since its launch.
The app allows the needy to file their applications for financial assistance from their homes in full compliance of social distancing protocols, said a PITB press release issued here on Tuesday.
PITB Chairman Azfar Manzoor said that the app has been a great success in collecting necessary details about the needy citizens during the lockdown.
The government has so far received more than 15 million applications from the citizens, which are being processed by authorities for further action. Citizens can also check their application status via the app and online portal, he added. People can registered themselves through three channels; the mobile application Insaf Imdad, sms and online portal. —APP
Our correspondent adds: The district administration continued to distribute free ration among the citizens of completely sealed areas in the provincial metropolis here on Tuesday.
The district administration officials said ration was distributed among transgenders and citizens under lockdown in several completely sealed and partial sealed localities in the city. They said 51 houses were completely locked down in Makhan Pura (Chah Miran) where 75 families were given ten days ration, which included ghee, pulses, flour, rice and etc. In Sikandria Colony and Shahdara 55 and 100 homes were given ration bags.
