Relief goods distributed
LAHORE : Provincial Human Rights Minister Ijaz Alam Augustine distributed relief goods among families of minorities who lost their livelihood due to the coronavirus pandemic on Saturday.
Volunteers of Youth Development Foundation distributed food items among almost 100 deserving families of Christian, Sikh and Hindu communities while Punjab Minister Ijaz Alam Augustine, HR&MA Secretary Dr. Shoaib and YDF Executive Director Shahid Rehmat attended the ceremony. On the occasion, all SOPs recommended by the government of Punjab were observed.
The people assembled at different times to avoid large gatherings, distance of 3 to 4 feet was also ensured while each person wore a mask and gloves.
Shahid Rehmat from YDF said that few days ago a meeting was held with the minister which decided that everyone had to perform his proactive role in supporting the government in the outbreak. He said that the initiative aimed at supporting 100 poor families, especially transport workers and daily wagers.
