DARGAI: The lockdown to contain the spread of the novel coronavirus has led to the artificial price-hike in Dargai and Sakhakot.
The shopkeepers are overcharging the customers in the absence of any check from the authorities concerned. The 20kg flour bag is being sold for 1100, which was previously selling for Rs830.
Similarly, the prices of other daily use items including vegetables and meat also registered a sharp increase which has added to the woes of the poor people. —Correspondent
