Two held for copyrights violations

LAHORE:Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday arrested two persons on charges of copyrights violations of an automobile company. An FIA Lahore team raided a factory at Rasheedpura Chowk, Darrogha Wala, Baghbanpura, Lahore. During the raid, pirated items air filters, packaging of the complainant automobile company were found which the FIA team seized. The owners of the factory namely Tahir and Jahangir were arrested on the spot and FIR was registered under Copyrights Ordinance 1962 accordingly.

Meanwhile, the FIA has taken the custody of an alleged money trafficker from Motorway police. The accused, Zakir Khan, a resident of Tehsil Bara, was found suspicious while travelling from Sheikhupura to Islamabad at Motorway Video Point in Sheikhupura by Motorway Police. During search of his luggage, Pakistani currency, Rs 3,12,76,250 was seized from a carton and he could not justify it. He was handed over to FIA Lahore. Later, on the tip of the accused, an FIA Lahore team conducted raid and the main accused namely Rafique was also arrested.
