RPO for measures against coronavirus
FAISALABAD: RPO Rifat Mukhtar has directed the Faisalabad CPO and the DPOs of Jhang, Toba Tek Singh and Chiniot districts to take strict measures for protecting the lives of the citizens in connection with coronavirus.
Chairing a Meeting of the District Police Officers of Faisalabad Range at his office here on Friday, the RPO said that they should strictly implement the orders of the Punjab government to adopt strict measures to curb the crimes and boldly combat the threat of coronavirus
He asked the DPOs to play their pivotal role for elimination of crimes and be ready to face the circumstance which may occur due to spread of fatal coronavirus.
He said that the citizens should be given possible safety during these crucial days and take appropriate measures to cope with any eventually. The RPO told that he had already deputed necessary staff at the RPO Office which would operate round the clock.
‘Pak students in China safe’: Pakistani students in Wuhan Textile University and other varsities of China are safe and are conducting their curriculum activities through online despite the closure of the Chinese educational institutions.
This was stated by Hassan Ali, a spokesman for Pakistani Students of Wuhan Textile University, who is pursuing his M Phil in Logistic Engineering under a Chinese President scholarship, stated this in a statement on Friday.
Expressing his views on a ‘Video Link’ with Planning Minister Asad Umer during his recent visit to China under the leadership of President Arif Alvi and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Hassan said the varsity management was taking complete care of Pakistani and other foreign students and after overcoming coronavirus they have started online teaching to foreign students.
He said it is expected that the Wuhan Textile University and other educational institutions of Higher Education would open from April1, 2020 after restoration of normalcy in China.
He said the varsity administration was taking full care of foreign students.
Hassan told the minister that dedicated doctors and paramedics of Wuhan have almost won the battle against the virus.
He said the virus has claimed the lives of over 3,500 people in China.
He suggested the minister send some top Pakistani doctors to China to learn techniques to overcome the virus.
The minister appreciated the suggestions of Hassan and promised to forward them to Prime Minister Imran Khan to contain the coronavirus.
DC VISITS CORONA CRISIS MANAGEMENT CELL
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali on Friday visited the established at the DC Office and checked the attendance of the staff.
Additional Deputy Commissioner General Fazl-e-Rabi Cheema was also present.
The DC directed the duty staff that duty of crisis management cell was very much important.
He said that the coronavirus prevention measures had been taken in advance and no negligence could be tolerated in this regard.
He said that the shift charge of the management cell should be alert along with his staff.
