Former PML-N MNA Jalil Ahmed Sharqpuri has formally announced joining Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and expressed complete trust in PTI Chairman Imran Khan. The announcement was made at a press conference in the presence of PTI Organiser, Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar. Chaudhry Sarwar said the incumbent rulers in Punjab were remote controlling the police and bureaucracy in the province. He said the army operation must continue against corruption and terrorism to save the country; otherwise, the generations to come would not be able to find peace, progress and prosperity in the country. He said the PTI had become a symbol of fear for all political parties, including the Opposition and the PML-N, as they were unable to face the PTI in elections.
Meanwhile, in his message on World Literacy Day, Malik Abdul Qayyum, former provincial minister and PTI leader said literacy is a key to promotion of positive attitudes such as tolerance, moderation and harmony in society. The durable solution to the problem of terrorism and extremism lies in the provision of quality education and literacy opportunities to the youths.
PTI leader said, it is high time for us to assess our achievements and shortfalls in the field of basic education and renew our commitment to provide education to all. Pakistan lags behind among countries of the world in literacy and education.
