Importance of Quran in curing diseases highlighted
LAHORE:The modern world is constantly searching for cure for various ailments, but in the Quran Allah Almighty has given the human beings the details and cure for the diseases that had occurred 1,400 years ago. Every word of the Holy Quran is healing, but Surah-al-Rehman has a special significance in this regard because it has been prescribed for the treatment of diseases through this Surah.
These views were expressed at a seminar held here at Lahore General Hospital on the topic of the “importance of Surah-al-Rehman, a source of healing”.
Principal Postgraduate Medical Institute Professor Dr Al-Freed Zafar and other speakers highlighted the importance of Surah-al-Rehman. In this seminar, Ms Mahrukh Khan of Institute of Medical Heart Surgeon of Science Islamabad, Dr Muhammad Javeed from intensive care for Services Hospital, Dr Muhammad Tariq from Molecular Biology Department of Lahore University of Management Sciences, Ms Iram Hameed Director S&I and various speakers addressed the seminar and their views on Surah-al-Rehman’s specialty on human brain cells and bacteria. The effects have come to light and Surah-al-Rehman has proven to be the best therapy with regard to cancer, heart and complex brain diseases with no alterations, the speakers said.
In his address, Dr Al-Freed Zafar said Quran is the source of universal knowledge and source of great inspiration. There is no doubt that the Quran is the greatest knowledge that no other can compete with it. Two Canadian Gynecologists recently read the Quran and became Muslims as well as in other countries this series still continues. The time has come for us to reform society according to the principles of Quran. It is not possible to deny the efficacy of Surah-al-Rehman and its importance in terms of treating patients. Science and research have also confirmed that Surah-al-Rehman not only provides peace of mind but also patients recover and amazingly healing happens. We can overcome our calamities through charity and prayers and that non-Muslim community besides Muslims have been convinced to listen to Surah-al-Rehman and its effects, Dr Al-Freed Zafar said.
Other speakers said physical illness is a very small thing. The actual illness is because of negative thoughts in our mind. This seminar was attended by doctors, nurses, paramedics, patients and their relatives.
