Talha earned the honour by lifting 217kg, 102kg in snatch and 115kg in clean and jerk.
Mohammad Usman will compete in 62kg on Tuesday (today). Meanwhile, Sadia Gul and Israr Ahmed won their initial matches in squash competitions. In tennis, Rida Khalid lost her opener. Muzammil will play his first game on Tuesday. Both Pakistani boxers lost their opening bouts and crashed out.
