Media organisations must face audit: Shahzad Akbar

ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar said on Monday that audit of media organisations must also be conducted.
Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the Islamabad High Court Journalists Association here, Shahzad Akbar said there must be no compromise on the freedom of expression. He said freedom of expression cannot be denied in this modern era and the government has no such intention at all. He said he will play a role in resolving problems faced by the journalist community. He said the audit of media organisations must be conducted to ascertain why media owners don’t pay salaries to their employees.
