Bad governance PTI’s trademark, says Sirajul Haq

LAHORE:Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has said bad governance and faulty economic policies have become the ‘trademark’ of PTI government in just its 17 months’ rule.

The country’s debt and liabilities have surged to trillions of dollars as PTI broke all previous records of foreign and domestic loans, taking whopping $ 16 billion foreign loans in just one year and it was done by the prime minister who used to claim in election campaign he would rather commit suicide than begging loans from international institutions,” the JI chief said while addressing the inauguration ceremony of a hospital in Bhimber, Azad Kashmir, near LoC on Friday, according a JI spokesman.

Siraj lamented that IMF had virtually taken control of all government affairs and rulers were insisting on not to mend their ways. He said the prices of basic commodities and medicines had gone beyond the public reach. He said the education and health sectors were on the verge of collapse as the federal and provincial government paid no attention to bring reforms in them. He said the JI would ensure free basic health facilities to the people if voted to power.

Senator Sirajul Haq regretted that worst atrocities were being committed in Indian-Held Kashmir for the six months but the international community was acting as a silent spectator. He said on one side Indian forces were committing worst human rights violations in the held region while on the other side the harsh weather was playing havoc in the AJK. But, he said, the rulers sitting in Islamabad’s luxury officers were showing least interest in raising voice for the Kashmiris. In the prevailing circumstance, he said, the people of Pakistan must extend their full support to their Kashmiri brethren.

JI Northern Punjab chapter Ameer Dr Tariq Saleem also addressed on occasion. The ceremony was attended by social personalities of the area, including Dr Abdul Aziz and Dr Abdur Rahman.
