ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan met with Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Monday to discuss the ongoing security situation in the region. Gen Bajwa and Imran also exchanged views on the prevalent situation at the Line of Control (LoC) and the Middle East crisis.
After Iran and the US ties got further strained following the death of Iranian military commander Qasem Soleimani, PM Imran had directed General Bajwa "to contact relevant military leaders to convey a clear message that Pakistan was ready to play its role for peace but it can never again be part of any war."
