Ciel Hotel in Dubai to be world’s tallest hotel by 2023

DUBAI: All set to break its own record, Dubai is going to open the world’s tallest hotel, Ciel Hotel, by 2023. Currently, the Gevora on Sheikh Zayed Road holds the record complete with certification as a Guinness World Record, the 82-level Ciel in Dubai Marina will be four meters taller than the current titleholder, foreign media reported.

The 360-meter building by The First Group and designed by Norr architects will have 1,042 luxury hotel suites and serviced residences spread over 82 levels. Construction work has been ongoing since 2016 at the building site in Dubai Marina.

The brains behind the project are the same people who were responsible for Dubai’s Atlantis, The Palm. Dubbed as the dream destination for tourists around the world, Dubai aims at giving the best in Luxury with this new project with Award-Winning Architecture and 360-degree glass observation deck among other things.

Guests will experience “panoramic views of the coastline and iconic landmarks including the Palm Jumeirah (man-made island),” a spokesperson for The First Group said.

Ciel’s rooftop will also have a leisure deck, a bar and an infinity swimming pool which will make you literally “on top of the world” as it will be highest in the world. The tower will also feature a spa, business facilities, and “multiple award-winning restaurants” which will be announced in the coming months, the spokesperson said. The rooftop will provide for untainted views of Dubai Marina, The Palm Jumeirah, and the Arabian Gulf.

Currently, Dubai holds 12 of the 100 tallest hotels in the world including JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Tower 1, JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Tower 2, Rose Rayhaan by Rotana, Burj Al Arab and Emirates Tower 2.

Ciel has already won accolades in 2019 with winning awards for Best International Hotel Architecture, Best Hotel Architecture Arabia and Best Residential High-rise Architecture Arabia at the International property awards in London.

Another skyscraper, the Creek Tower Dubai has been under construction for a while and reports suggest that it could be close to a kilometer high. The stunning structure was initially known as The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour before settling on its current moniker. The Creek Tower with strategic prime location and record-breaking height could be the next big thing in Dubai and we can’t wait!

The Creek Tower has 140 barrette piles in its foundation, each capable of bearing a load of 36,000 tonnes. These numbers are beyond imagination! The tower’s design is inspired by an Islamic minaret as well as the lily flower. It will be tethered to the ground with cables akin to the ribbing of the lily leaves. The Dubai Creek Tower will feature a futuristic beacon at the top of the tower that will supposedly project a hovering flower above the structure. The top of the tower will be shaped like a flower-bud and will hold 10 observation decks. This includes the planned Pinnacle Room, offering a 360-degree view of Dubai. There will be dedicated VIP Observation Garden Decks at the Creek Tower that will be available to certain visitors only. Apart from the view of the horizon, the tower will also provide a stunning view of Downtown Dubai and the Creek Harbour close to it.

Set to rise almost a kilometer into the sky, the Creek Tower is about three times the height of the Eiffel Tower. A ride to the top of this megastructure will be an experience of its own. Just like on the Burj Khalifa, you can expect an interplay of state-of-the-art technology onboard the Creek Tower elevator.

Expected to stand at least 100 meters taller than the Burj Khalifa, the Creek Tower Dubai will be capable of providing an even better birds-eye view of Dubai than the present tallest structure on the planet. The under-development Dubai Creek Harbour area will be quite a spectacle from the height of over 900 meters.

The Creek Tower will be housing inside it the highest elevated garden in the world. The garden is expected to occupy multiple floors, some of which will only cater to VIP visitors.

At the foot of this gravity-defying structure will be a plaza featuring water features and curated landscaping. This plaza is set to measure around 800 square meters and will match the width of New York’s Central Park.
