Woman caught throwing baby into water tank

LAHORE: A woman gave birth to a baby in the washroom of Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital on Tuesday and later threw her into the water tank there.

However, a female sweeper spotted the woman while throwing the baby into the water tank and raised the alarm. Upon which, the baby was timely pulled out of the water tank and admitted to the hospital nursery in a stable condition. Gujjarpura police registered a case against the woman.

stabs wife: A woman was stabbed and wounded by her husband at Pak Town, Factory Area, on Tuesday. The victim woman identified as Sumaira, wife of Ramzan, was taken to a local hospital where her condition was stated to be critical. Dolphin Squad arrested the accused and handed him over to the police concerned.

man dies: An elderly man was killed by a speeding motorcycle on Canal Road, Fateh Garh, on Tuesday. The victim, yet to be identified, was crossing Canal Road when a rashly-driven bike hit him, resulting in injuries to him. He was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The body was removed to morgue.
