Allies start ditching govt for not fulfilling promises
ISLAMABAD: Ruling party’s worst fears have started coming true as its allies in the federal government have started withdrawingtheir support after getting fed up for not getting powers and fulfilment of what was promised.
According to information, federal minister for IT Information Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who was extremely unhappy with his ministry due to continuous intervention of Tania Aidrus, has resigned from his ministry. Tania Aidrus resigned from Google for Pakistan and was heading Digital Vision in Pakistan.
The sources said that the name of Aminul Haq was given for a ministry while promise was made to make Faisal Sabzwari an adviser. But no promise was fulfilled and this extremely disheartened the MQM activists.
The sources of PTI strongly rejected about allegations leveled against Tania Aidrus. They said that the lady was acting within the rules and regulations and no trespassing has been made by her while performing her job.
The close sources of Khalid Maqbool Sidiqui said that he felt stranger in his ministry while Tania Aidrus had started holding meetings with prime minister and heads of other institutions directly and besides it she also issued directions to those institutions which are responsible for running the affairs of the ministry and Federal Secretary Shoaib Siddiqui complained several times in this regard.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui had no option but to resign because he was facing extreme pressure from MQM activists that he should do something for their jobs while on the other hand he was a powerless minister.
Khalid Maqbool was also disheartened that he was a convener of Rabta Committee but the decision to give Farogh Naseem an important position in Sindh was being taken at high level and he was not consulted in this regard. The sources said that Khalid Maqbool would not take back ministry at any cost because the MQM of past is infamous that MQM used to leave ministries and alliance so that it could blackmail government which tarnishes the image of MQM and the city of educated citizens Karachi, because this time MQM is facing educated voters. But this time the MQM took that decision after deep comprehension.
