Senate gets new secretary

ISLAMABAD: Senate Chairman Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani Tuesday appointed Dr Akhtar Nazir as the Secretary of the Senate Secretariat with immediate effect. According to the Senate Secretariat, Dr Akhtar Nazir, who is presently serving as special secretary, will assume his new responsibility on January 01, 2020. The incumbent Secretary Muhammad Anwar bowed out on December 31, 2019 on completion of his service. The Senate chairman has appointed Dr Akhtar Nazir in terms of Rule 38 of Senate Secretariat (Service) Rules, 2017.
