World urged to take note of HR violations in IHK

PESHAWAR: The speakers at a conference on Thursday condemned human rights violations in occupied Kashmir and urged the world to take note of the situation.

The conference on the human rights violation in the Indian Held Kashmir (IHK) was organized by the Legal Research Institute of Pakistan and All Pakistan Teachers Association in collaboration with the Build Pakistan Movement (BPM) at the Nishtar Hall. Speaking on the occasion, chairman, Build Pakistan Movement, Muhammad Moazzam Butt, Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Hashim Raza advocate, president All Pakistan Teachers Association Azizullah Khan, president, Muttahida Qabail Party, Malik Habib Noor, former deputy speaker provincial assembly, Ikramullah Shahid, former Members Provincial Assembly Arshad Khan Umarzai, Dr Zakir and Ibrahim Qasmi urged the people exhibit unity and stand by the armed forces.

“As a nation, we should stand by the armed forces and may also effectively participate in policy affairs on Kashmir,” Muhammad Moazzam Butt said. The speakers praised Allama Muhammad Iqbal for putting forward arguments for the creation of Pakistan. “The recent developments in India proved that the leaders were right in demanding the creation of Pakistan,” said one of the leaders. The speakers said India has now shifted from her secular position to Hindu extremism. The people had the right to pressure India to protect the Muslim minorities in India and liberate Kashmir, they added. Muhammad Ashraf Dar, Hashim Raza, Azizullah Khan (President APTA), Malik Habib Noor (Vice President Mutahida Qabaili Party), Ikramullah Shahid, former deputy speaker of the KP Assembly KP and others also spoke on the occasion.
