KARACHI: The Pakistani films performed 45 per cent less business than the last year managing a business of Rs. 1400 million in contrast to that of films produced in 2018 who did a roaring business of Rs. 2,500 million.
In the current year, uptill now 21 films have been exhibited in the cinemas, including Super Star, Paray Hat Love, Wrong Number-2, Chalawa, Sher Dil, Baji, Heer Maan Ja, Lal Kabootar, Katak Shah and Project Ghazi.
The movie Super Star did a business of Rs. 270 million, Paray Hat Love earned Rs. 260.8 million, Wrong Number-2 managed Rs. 216.50 million, Chalawa Rs. 179 million, Sher Dil Rs. 126.10 million, Baji Rs. 110 million, Heer Maan Ja Rs. 100 million, Lal Kabootar Rs. 30.4 million, while both Katak Shah and Project Ghazi managed Rs. 20 million each.
Besides, Guum, Jackpot, Janoon-e-Ishq, Ready-Steady No, Tum Hi Tu Ho, Tewar, Operation Swift Retort, Daal Chawal, Darj, Kaaf Kangna, and Talash could not bag any significant business. Film Sach perhaps the last of this year, would be released on December 20, 2019.
