Meeting of PM Imran Khan, General Qamar Bajwa: DG ISPR has said PM Imran and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa always remain in contact. He said both the leaders meet whenever it is needed, adding that some meetings are reported and some are not.
ISLAMABAD: The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor has said the government and army are on the same page and there are no differences between the two.
Talking to a private TV channel, the DG ISPR rejected all the rumours about rifts between the government and army. He said Prime Minister Imran and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa always remain in contact. He said both the leaders meet whenever it is needed, adding that some meetings are reported and some are not as it not necessary to report each and every meeting between the PM and COAS.
Major General Ghafoor said it is imperative for the progress of Pakistan that both remain engaged with each other. He said army is supporting the democratic government by fulfilling its constitutional obligations.--
