One arrested in Mansehra rape case
MANSEHRA: The police claimed to have arrested a suspect and are conducting raids for nabbing his two accomplices for allegedly raping a girl.
“We have arrested a suspect who, with help of his two accomplices, kidnapped a girl and repeatedly raped her,” District Police Officer Zaibullah Khan told reporters on Monday. Ali Asghar and his accomplices whose names were being kept secret by the police for the time being kidnapped a married woman from Datta area five days ago and dropped her near her residence the other day after sexually assaulting her multiple times. The medical examination report by doctors at King Abdullah Teaching Hospital confirmed the rape.
“The victim in her statement recorded under Section 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code before a local judge charged the suspects, alleging that they raped her following abduction,” the official told reporters. He added that he was personally supervising that gang rape case. “I am optimistic that the suspects would soon be arrested and brought to justice,” said the official. A first information report was lodged under sections 376/365B the Pakistan Penal Code. Some more sections of the law would also be incorporated in it as the investigation progresses. Under-age driving: The residents of Oghi demanded the district administration to impose a ban on driving of motorcycles by underage boys. They said that five youngsters were killed during the last couple of days because of rash driving.
